Key Cooperative Customer Awarded Cenex ‘Tanks of Thanks’

Since 2012, CHS has awarded more than 10,000 people with free fuel through the Cenex Tanks of Thanks program. Each month, 100 winners are drawn from the pool of nominated individuals.

We are thrilled to share that a customer of Key Cooperative, David Samson of Killduff, IA, was recently selected in the monthly drawing to receive a $50 Cenex Tanks of Thanks gift card!

David was nominated by Jessica Maston, also of Killduff, for volunteering to clear snow from neighbors’ driveways. This also included an area that ensures the safety of the school bus to get to the local children for school. Once maintained by the county, the road no longer has consistent care and many neighbors are physically unable to move the snow. “I’ve seen Samson extend generosity,” said Jessica Maston, “By clearing a neighbor’s drive, and refusing to be paid.”

“You don’t know when people are watching; just going about your day-to-day activities,” said David Samson, “It was a nice gesture and nothing I expected, I just wanted to help neighbors and for the bus to have a clear path for the kids.”
