Key Cooperative, in partnership with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation, presents Hawkeye Valley Area on Aging Healthy Lifestyles Senior Center with a matching grant check for $2500. Key Cooperative, in partnership with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation, presents Jasper County Kids Against Hunger with a matching grant check for $2160. The organization’s efforts are those of humanitarian food-aid for hungry children in the USA and starving children throughout the world. The funding assisted with the purchase of food but also allowed Key Cooperative to sponsor six teams to participate in a food packaging event in Lynnville this past November. Key Cooperative, in partnership with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation, presents the Food Bank of Iowa with a matching grant check for $2500. The funds will be used specifically to support The BackPack Program in Iowa. The program is designed to lessen the consequences of childhood hunger by providing a sack of child-friendly foods to low-income elementary school children on weekends when they do not have access to other meal programs.
