Key Cooperative Adjusts Business Practices

Nov 13, 2020

COVID-19 NOTICE
Effective November 13, 2020, Key Cooperative adjusts business practices

The most important thing we can express right now is our appreciation for your support and understanding as we continue to work together during this unprecedented time. Once again, we have implemented some temporary changes to our business practices:

Locations closed to the public:
Our goal is to serve our members and customers safely. To limit exposure, our locations will be temporarily closed to the public, however, available for appointment. For people who are visiting, such as delivery drivers or maintenance contractors, we’re asking everyone call our offices rather than entering and coordinate a plan to conduct business. All visitors should have their name added to our Visitor Log.

Masks are encouraged:
Whatever your style, cover your smile! When entering our locations, our team will have their smiles covered by a mask. We encourage you to also wear a mask. Masks and hand sanitizing stations are available near the entries of all our locations.

Face-to-face meetings:
Our sales team is happy to schedule an appointment with you either in one of our large meeting spaces, in the shop or even at your home. To reduce the risk of spread even further, our team also has the ability to use Zoom – a virtual meeting option which has been quite valuable to us over the past year.

Payments:
Please call us ahead of time if you wish to stop at a location to make a payment. We can arrange to meet you at the door, come out to your vehicle or you can simply drop your payment in the outside drop box. Additionally, we encourage you to pay online through MY ACCOUNT on the Key Cooperative website. Another option would be to set up Automatic Bill pay (ACH). View ACH form here.

Product pick-up and delivery:
We will happily arrange for product pick up or delivery. However, upon arrival to your property, we would request the practice of social distancing. Our team will also be wearing masks. We also request you disinfect any equipment necessary for the delivery before, then again after our team leaves. If you prefer to pick up your own product, please call at arrival and we will load your truck/trailer while you wait in your vehicle.

Grain checks:
?Please make arrangements to have your grain checks mailed to you rather than picked up in person at our locations. For even more efficient payments, we encourage you to take advantage of our direct deposit program. That form can be found on our website or by clicking here.

Grain contracts:
Please work with your location or a member of our grain team to have any grain contracts mailed to you, signed and then returned in a postage-paid envelope. If you need to discuss a grain contract in-person, please call us for an appointment. We can also arrange to meet you at the door or come out to your vehicle.

For grain marketing, contracting and cash sales please contact:
  • Zack Gardner, 641-521-1834
  • Kirk Berry (South Region) 641-990-9770
  • Greg Artz (North Region) 515-215-0062

For grain accounting, settlements or to set up grain ACH please contact:
  • Morgan Goodmanson (Nevada Office) 515-382-8229
  • Kim Staecker (Sully Office) 641-594-8124

Grain – Inbound Deliveries:
As we wrap up harvest, we still encourage you to communicate with your location regularly to ensure you have the most current information. If we make changes to location hours/availability, we will send a text notification. If you have not done so already, please join our text list so we can keep you up-to-date with the latest information. (Contact your Key location to learn how to be added to our text list.)

Propane deliveries:
We will continue to deliver propane. We will minimize contact with customers as much as possible which means we may not be leaving your delivery ticket at the door. We will mail delivery tickets by request. Additionally, out-of-gas calls will be handled only by a cleared service tech to reduce the number of employees entering homes.

Feed deliveries:
We will continue to deliver feed. Animal food processing has been identified as critical infrastructure in our state. Our feed division will be taking extra measures to identify contingency plans should we have future restrictions.

Community support:
It is so important we continue to support our local communities. The impact of COVID-19 has impacted people and businesses in different ways, so we want to remind everyone to keep your local communities in mind.

We continue to stay as healthy as we can at each of our locations and we encourage all of our member-owners to practice their own diligence at home to keep their families healthy and safe as well!
