Lynnville Repair Inc. (LRI) has leased the service area of the Key Cooperative Service Department with an Aug. 25 agreement. According to Matt Zylstra, LRI owner, LRI is planning to move its tire sales and service and oil change service to the leased area with the vehicle repair area remaining at their location in the Sully Business Park at 104 West 4th Street on the west side of Sully.
Key Cooperative will continue operating the NAPA Parts Store and fuel pump islands part of the location with LRI’s intent to also utilize the convenience of NAPA parts.
“It is going to be very beneficial for Lynnville Repair to utilize the NAPA service,” Zylstra said.
Key Cooperative’s service technician, Chris Snook, will continue to work in the LRI shop area. Randy Huyser will be service advisor at the LRI service area, a Key Cooperative position he retired from and is really looking forward to being back in his former position. Current LRI employee Matt Smalley will work at the new area with future staffing needs to be determined, according to Zylstra.
About the partnership, Zylstra said, “We felt the biggest reason for the lease is the opportunity to grow LRI within Key and also within the community, and also be a positive for the NAPA Store and fuel sales.”
Shaun Lippincott, Key Cooperative Logistics Manager, said, “Key Cooperative is very much looking forward to this partnership with LRI providing the service the community was accustomed to in the past.”
“LRI looks forward to continuing our commitment to the community in our business park location offering the same service and hoping to add efficiency with the additional location,” Zylstra said. “Both parties really want this to work. Key still has the desire to keep the service station open, and this is a way to do it.”
Until the phone system at LRI’s service station location is installed, continue to use the LRI phone number 594-2814. Hours will be 7-5 Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday with extended hours during harvest at LRI’s service station location. The NAPA Store will continue the current 7 a.m.-5 p.m. hours, and in the future, possibly the NAPA Store will also be open on Saturdays.
Watch for mid-October open house details at the LRI service station location with refreshments served.
