We asked, you answered! Thank you for the huge response when we asked for organizations who were diligently working to grow & enhance their communities. In partnership with the Land O’ Lakes matching grant program, we were able to award six matching grants during the last quarter of 2017. Take a look at a few of our grant presentations!
Mayflower Homes located in Grinnell is a not-for-profit senior living community. They recently began raising funds to transition their kitchen into an ‘open-dining’ concept. The end goal is to raise over $600,000 to completely transform the existing space and allow residents to dine when they choose and from a larger selection of high-quality meals.
The Story City First Responders requested matching funds to be used to purchase patient diagnostic equipment. In addition, the matching grant will fund the purchase of medical bags, tarps, and reflective EMS safety vests for all members of the department.
Story County Medical Center recently began raising funds to purchase respiratory protective equipment for ambulance paramedics and emergency room staff. The protective equipment will be utilized when there is a risk of exposure to hazardous materials or airborne infectious diseases.
