Make Specialty Contracts Work For You

We have several casual conversations with farmers referring to marketing services. Not just marketing advisors, but talking about marketing programs, magazine articles, radio programs, podcasts, and Twitter posts. Oftentimes, these conversations surround specialty contracts.

At the end of the day, there are endless places and opportunities to get information. How that information is used and put into motion through a marketing plan, depends on the next step.

Some producers have worked with a marketing service for years - which they are happy with. If that’s the case for you, the Key Cooperative Grain Team is happy to work with them on your behalf and we will continue to do so.

For those who do not have a marketing service hired, or those who no longer wish to work with their marketing service, how can our grain team help? We offer every service that a brick and mortar or venture capital marketing firm offers. Although we do not have POA and the ability to pull the trigger on your behalf, we can cover the rest.

From the basics of cash contracts to the most sophisticated grain contracts, we write HTA’s and set basis, not only to Key, but to any processor in our trade area. We can enter long positions including extended price and basis contracts. Our OTC services, including accumulator and guaranteed flex floor average contracts, are worth talking about.

Our team will listen to your needs and find the right contract(s) for you. We will discuss which contracts have done well in the past, but more importantly, we will discuss the risk involved in each contract and what has gone wrong in grain marketing contracts in the past. Key will custom fit your needs to your marketing plan. We can set up a budget and move forward making sales.

Key Cooperative is in contact with a team of grain brokers several times a day. Why? Because we are here to help. Everyone on our grain team can add value to your farm. We have every tool that any other marketing firm or marketing service has to offer. We have fees involved in HTA’s, premium offers, minimum prices, etc., but we do not charge a fee to execute our services.

Contact the grain team to take the next best step for your operation today!
