Key Gifts more than $10,000 in Matching Grants and Donations to Feed Families

Jun 01, 2020

Key Cooperative announced today a total of more than $10,000 had been donated to local food pantries and hunger relief programs this May. A portion of the funding comes from a long-time partnership the cooperative holds with the Land O’Lakes Foundation via their matching grant program.

The donations were presented to a wide range of organizations in five central Iowa counties which included county food banks, school-coordinated food programs, food drives and pork producer/cattlemen associations.

“Many hard-working Iowans have found themselves navigating unfamiliar territory during this pandemic,” said Key Cooperative General Manager, Boyd Brodie, “The member-owners of Key Cooperative produce food for the world so it was an easy decision for us to redirect our support towards food programs which support the families of our communities.”
