Key Cooperative is Your Certified Expert Purina Dealer

Purina has been a trusted feed brand for many years. If you feed Purina, you may have noticed that different products are available through different retailers. Key Cooperative is proud to carry Purina Animal Nutrition products. Other retailers, such as grocery stores or farm stores, carry Nestle Purina products. Sometimes we get the question, is there a difference between Purina Animal Nutrition and Nestle Purina? The answer is yes, they are two separate entities.

Purina Animal Nutrition (which supplies Purina Products to Key Co-op) was acquired by Land O’Lakes in 2001. This part of the company is the old Ralston Purina. Purina Animal Nutrition is best known for their flock, beef, horse, commercial swine, sheep and goat and show feed products.

Purina Animal Nutrition also has three lines of pet food: the Exclusive Signature®, Infinia® and Red Flannel® lines. These pet food products ARE NOT manufactured in the same locations/ plants as the Nestle Purina Products and do not carry the checkerboard on their packaging. These high-quality products are all under the umbrella of PMI Nutrition and undergo the same testing, research and quality control as the other Purina Animal Nutrition lines for all species. These PMI products are not nationally advertised and are only available from Certified Purina Retailers like Key Cooperative.

The Land O’ Lakes owned Purina Animal Nutrition pet food lines all have the proper protein to fat ratios plus Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. They also feature the patented, scientifically proven Comfort Care® Digestive Health System which helps support your dog or cat’s digestive tract, optimizes their microbiome and supports their immune system.
