Storm-Damage Ag Meeting

Iowa State Extension and Outreach is organizing a meeting bringing together ISU Extension Agronomy, Ag Engineering, livestock and insurance specialists. Speakers will cover assessing the crop, grain quality issues, and timing/plans for harvest given the condition of the crop as well as crop insurance information and more.

  • Derecho Disaster & Relief – Mike Naig, Iowa Secretary of Ag
  • Crop damage assessments and harvest plans -­ Meaghan Anderson, ISU Extension Agronomy
  • Livestock issues caused by the storm – Patrick Wall, ISU Livestock Specialist
  • Grain storage/handling – Kapil Arora, ISU Field Agricultural Engineer
  • Grain Logistics – Jason Dubberke, Key Cooperative Grain Division
  • Crop Insurance Information – Alex Weekly, AP Crop Insurance
